Early Life and Education

Daniel was born on 31 March 1984 in Vancouver, Washington, in the United States. He lived in many places in the US and overseas, including Virginia, Germany and Mississippi, because his father was in the US Army. For the same reason, Daniel was home-schooled until the 7th grade.

Around the age of 10, Daniel found a book on programming and began to teach himself. He later went on to learn a multitude of programming languages and came to earn a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.

Career

After graduating from the University of Washington in Tacoma, Daniel was employed by the University of Washington in Seattle to work in the Center of Urban Simulation and Policy Analysis (CUSPA). He worked there for one year before leaving on good terms to start his own company.
